About our Bands

Kol Haruach

Kol Haruach enjoys delivering performances of a wide range of musical pieces that sizzle and sparkle. Our repertoire is extensive —Klezmer, Jazz, Israeli, Hassidic, Traditional, World, and even some Rock—a rare diversity—and we do it all with exceptional quality, excitement and fun.

Just Jazz

Kol Haruach is a diverse group, and together we also perform as a band called Just Jazz. This band plays Jazz standards from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. In fact, two of our members are world-renowned for their Jazz. So, if you’re planning a swanky, stylish event, or if you think background music would add atmosphere during the cocktail hour, just let us know and we’ll include it in our mix.

Our Diversity and Experience

We are experienced with both all Jewish and mixed events. For family and guests who are not Jewish, we mix it up…pull out the Jazz, Latin, Rock…and tie it all into the celebration. We even mix it up with the hora sets. And, if your guests are shy, or don’t know the Klezmer steps…not to worry. Our Clarinetist is a professional dance instructor who will step off the stage to teach everyone who wants to learn…right there on the dance floor. It’s easy. It’s fun. It’s a party for everyone!

CONCERTS • FUNDRAISERS

Kol Haruach is a touring concert band. Each of our players is an accomplished and successful musician with his own distinguished solo career. The concert stage provides a more formal and arranged setting that allows us to highlight our world class talent, and gives the audience an opportunity to experience the full effect of our individual musicianship and personalities.

 

When we perform in concert, Kol Haruach combines the elements of both Klezmer and Jazz. In addition, we educate the audience on the music’s authenticity by including tidbits of music history in the program. The band breathes life into the music through our witty commentary and interactions with the audience. By throwing Jazz into the mix, the audience can experience the similarities between European Klezmer and American Jazz as they dance in the aisles!

The audience’s experience is very important to us. We want everyone to have a really great time—an experience they will never forget—one that will make your event not only memorable but wildly successful.

We also do occasional pro bono work. In fact, we are committed to dedicating a portion of our work to charity and to bringing awareness to causes we believe in.

Individual Attention; Unparalleled Versatility

Our goal is to make every event the best it can possibly be. We do this by listening and being attentive to your needs, and by making your entire experience pleasant and stress free. When we perform as a full band, there are five musicians with the option of a vocalist. The full band is a great option for a party, especially if you are interested in a high-energy hora or dance set. When you hire the full band, you hire the flexibility of a group that can work either as individual players, a duo, trio, quartet or the full band throughout the various phases of your event. And, because all of our musicians are already on location, the cost to you is minimized.

 

 

For your ceremony, two or three of our musicians can provide stirring, beautiful music to make this once-in-a-lifetime moment even more special. During the cocktail hour that precedes your celebration three or four of our players can serenade your guests with elegant background music. This can include light pop, Classical, Jazz, Israeli, Klezmer and more. You name it…requests appreciated!

Our clients have told us repeatedly that one of our best suggestions was to have live music for their ceremony and cocktails.

Then, when it’s time for the big celebration (reception), we bring on the full band and get the party rolling. This is where things heat up and the real party begins! With our diversity in Jazz, Israeli, Rock and Klezmer, we have a reputation for always getting the crowd on their feet, and sometimes dancing on their chairs! We create an atmosphere that your guests will talk about for years to come.
